You are invited to expand your total self.Following astring of junglist-leaning cassettesfor1080p, Midnight Club NY, and Cassava Piece,Trust Image makesa very welcome shift to vinyl with thelatestdispatchonArcane.A Man Cut In Slicesexpands the Brooklyn-based producer\'s sonic view, showcasing a naturaladaptability on adiverse range that touches on soulful house, Aphexian techno, Theo-type beatdowns, heady UK Garage (as in \"garridge\"), and even Vangelis-esqueambience. Impressive to say the least, not only for its breadth of styles, but for the precision andgenuinevibescaptured in the execution.Right from the get-go, \"Someone Like You\" simultaneously tugs at the heart strings whilesetting the dance floor off, with nostalgic chords and a groove-readybounce. The rude basslines and rough edges of \"Quattro\" takeus deeper into the zone, loosening it up for the sharply focusedchargethat is \"The Crossing.\"On the flip, \"Interzone,\" delivers a spaciousbreath of air, while \"Blues & The Abstract Truth\" closes it out with synth lines that would make the Analord himself jealous. A beacon of ingenuity andfacility that cuts through the endless sea of banal and mediocre dance 12\" releases. Comes housed in custom screen printed 12\" sleeve (\"rain camo\") with custom postcard insert featuring a photograph of William S. Burroughs\' childhood home. Recommended.
