Towards The Dream.Steve Roach\'s 1988 magnum opus gets a proper reissue for its 30th anniversary courtesy of Telephone Explosion Records! Originally released on double CD,Dreamtime Return is widely considered one of the most (if not the most) important works in theelectronicmulti-instrumentalist\'s vast catalog - a stunning andfully immersive audio journey that exploresthe potential that \"may lie in bringing our most elusive dreams and ancient memories into focus through potent, highly imaginative soundscapes.\" Here Roach takes inspiration from the Australian outback, studies of the Aboriginal Dreamtime, and the deserts of California, to take the electro-ethno-atmospheric genre much deeper than it has ever been before.Never before hasthe primal energy ofancient instrumentsfused withmodern synthesizer drones and subtle shamanicpercussion in such a profound way. Comes pressed on double vinyl withnew high definition remaster by Howard Givens. Recommended.
